Kids say the darndest things

So often, Raina comes up with something that makes us say we must blog that. Here are a couple of recent ones that I just had to write down for posterity.

The other day Raina and I were playing in her bedroom. I asked her, "What do you want to do now?" She thought about it for a second, looked up and said, "I want to fly up high into the sky and swing from the lights." I wonder where that come from?

And a few weeks back, the three of us were in the car, heading off to Fox Studios for a day out. We were running late and I muttered something to that effect. Mei-Ling said, "We're on the Eastern Distributor, we should be fine" and I replied with, "Yes, but sometimes Sunday traffic can be really bad". Raina suddenly leant forward in her seat and asked, most earnestly, "What's this SUNDAY TRAFFIC?" Apparently she had never heard of the concept and had to know immediately what it meant. I love her desire to learn all the time, and it is so delightful to be with her when she learns some new word or phrase.
