Economics, from the perspective of a three-year-old

I've been sick for the past three days with the flu. Raina came up to me this morning to see if I'm feeling better. When I said, "not really", she said, with great concern, "that's not good, we're going to run out of money now." Her mother has been telling her that daddy goes out every day to earn money for us, so it would seem logical to her I guess that if I'm not going to work, we are not making any money. Simple.
